HOW TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER

Volunteerism is a strong characteristic of our culture. We recognize that volunteers live busy lives, yet still want to give in meaningful ways. We strive to make the process of becoming a volunteer as convenient as possible; however, for your safety and satisfaction, and for the safety of our patients and families we do ask that potential volunteers complete the following steps. Requirements vary depending on position. With more patient contact, we will offer more training and supervision.

NEW: Volunteer training is now available online for your convenience!!

Depending on the type of volunteer position you apply for you may be asked to complete any of the following:

- Background Check
- Urine drug screen
- Blood draw to test for TB & to check immunization levels (e.g. MMR)
- Brief health history
- Offered Hep B vaccine (this is optional for our volunteers so you can decline)

There is no charge for the tests or vaccinations we offer our volunteers. The health and safety of patients and volunteers are our number one priority.
